The success of the Inspiring Journeys Auction Gala depends greatly on the variety and appeal of items offered during the silent and live auctions.  In 2013, we raised over $300,000 through items and donations from our supporters.

Our greatest need is for the following types of items:

RESTAURANT GIFT CERTIFICATES 

SPORTS:  tickets to events, memorabilia, unique experiences
  • Sporting Event Tickets– Do you have tickets, or connections to tickets, or even better - box seats to any of these teams?  Seattle’s Seahawks, Sounders, Mariners, and UW Huskies football and basketball are hot items!
  • March Madness  2015 Tickets – Seattle, WA
  • Chambers Bay 2015 US Open– Tickets to the Golf US Open in June of 2015, in Washington State!  If you are a member, or know a member of the US Golf Association (USGA), they have early access to tickets in March 2014.

LOCAL TRAVEL:  accommodations, dining, recreation/entertainment, spas
  • Wine Country Trip:  Walla Walla, Willamette Valley, Napa
  • San Juan Islands Getaway
  • Vancouver/Victoria B.C.
  • Ski Vacation Trip:   Whistler, Big White, Sun Valley, Schweitzer
  • Leavenworth

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES:    these are items you can’t just buy anywhere…
  • meet & greet with local author, sports star, musician; back stage passes/tours
  • lunch with local CEO (Jeff Bezos, Howard Schultz, Steve Ballmer, Joe Tucci, Blake Nordstrom)
  • coffee or lunch with political figures (Mayor Ed Murray, Gary & Mona Locke)
  • UW Huskies - unique experiences, tour of stadium & new facilities, cheerleader b-day arty
GOURMET EXPERIENCES: group dinners, themed dinner parties
  • Private Chef Dinners in Private Homes– Do you know a local chef that would be willing to do a private meal, tasting, or demonstration in someone’s home?  
THEATRE TICKETS: 
  • The Paramount 2014- 2015:  Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia!
  • 5th Avenue Theatre 2014 - 2015:  A Christmas Story, Something Rotten , Grease

WINE:   Wine sells very well at our event. We are in need of bottles of red or white wine valued at $15 or more. 

KIDS EXPERIENCES:  unique Birthday Party, music lessons, horseback riding, pool party, etc.


Other Ways to Donate


DESSERT DASH:  
Prepare a homemade dessert to be bid on and served at the auction!  Last year's Dessert Dash raised $12,500 supporting essential programs at Boyer!

Baking not one of your superpowers?  Think about procuring a dessert from your favorite local bakery, gourmet deli, or restaurant!  We look forward to bidding on, dashing for, and eventually consuming your divine creations or procured treats.

WINE GRAB:
Wine is a big seller at auctions, and our Wine Grab raised nearly $5,000 last year!  Donate a bottle of your favorite wine to the Wine Grab.  Our goal is to procure 150 bottles of quality wine (red or white!) valued at $15+ each.  Every bottle counts! 

Please submit your Wine Grab Procurement Form by October 17th.
